The Application Development Team Lead at Grow Financial is responsible for leading a team of 2-4 programmers in the design, development, and maintenance of complex custom and package software applications. Building upon the expertise required for a Senior Programmer Analyst, this position demands exceptional leadership skills, advanced software engineering capabilities, and a profound understanding of both business and IT requirements. The Team Lead is responsible for guiding the team through all phases of the software development lifecycle and contributes as a developer and architect. This role includes collaboration with product owners and business stakeholders, support for project discovery research and analysis, driving modernization and tech debt elimination, and providing mentorship and expert guidance to team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited university or an additional 4 years of related work experience and professional certifications in lieu of a degree required.
• 10 years of relevant software engineering professional experience required
• 5 years of experience in a credit union or financial institution required.
• 1 year of leadership experience or demonstrated leadership experience within the CU required.
• Advanced proficiency in JHA Symitar PowerOn, .Net C#, PowerShell, JS, SQL, Visual Studio, GIT, Azure DevOps, Kace or ServiceNow Change Management / Incident Management, SDLC planning tools (ADO or Jira), Agile or Kanban.
• Experience in implementation and integration of financial industry commercial software platforms.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-native application development and microservices/API.
• Experience in system and process analysis and design methodologies.

Work Environment

• This role is fully remote, with the option to work from our HQ or retail locations.
