Monitor all bankruptcy cases filed by Credit Union members where the possibility of loss is present. Establish and implement with approval an efficient method for handling bankrupt members, focusing on ways to minimize Credit Union losses and increasing net recoveries. Consults with and makes recommendations to management concerning strategies and procedures. Provides guidance to the Loan Resolution Department and other Credit Union staff in the procedures, and policies that relate to members who have or are contemplating filing bankruptcy.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years consumer collection experience required. 2 years of experience handling Consumer Bankruptcy accounts preferred.
• Must possess competent knowledge of Federal Bankruptcy law, judicial process and procedures as related to bankruptcy and litigation proceedings. Must be knowledgeable of Debtor/Creditor Collection Law, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Uniform Commercial Code related to disposition of repossessions and Florida Statutes pertaining to the collection of consumer debts.
• Prior experience in court appearances at trials, mediations, depositions, or creditors meetings is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
• Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
• Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is a hybrid opportunity, reports to Grow Headquarters in Tampa, FL about 2x per week.
• Sedentary role.
