Can I open additional checking and savings accounts through OnlineBanking?
Yes.
- From the menu in Online Banking or the Mobile Banking app, click on Accounts and then select Open an Account.
- Click “Apply Here” on the Checking, Savings and Certificatestile.
- If you have more than one Member ID # associated with your Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number, you’ll have the chance to choose which one should be associated with the new account.
- A panel will open to the right to let you choose between three categories: Term Certificates, Checking and Savings accounts, or a new membership.
- Choose the category and then the account type you wish to open, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Term Certificates will require a minimum $250 deposit from an available funding source. If you do not have funds available in an account at SF Fire Credit Union, you will not be able to open a Term Certificate online until you make a deposit or transfer funds in from an external account using Transfer & Pay » Make aTransfer.
Do I have to share a log-in with jointowners?
No, joint owners can register their own unique log-in. You’ll be able to see all your accounts with one log-in, and your joint owners will only see those accounts on which they’reauthorized.

2APY= Annual Percentage Yield. The APY is the effective annual rate of return and assumes that the funds will remain in the deposit account for the full 365 days. This rate schedule states rates applicable to specified accounts. This schedule is incorporated as a part of your account agreement with SF Fire Credit Union. A minimum positive balance of $0.01 is required for dividends to be earned, which are calculated at a specified rate over a given period.
Rates effective as of 12/15/2023 and are subject to change at any time without notice. New money refers to money not currently held at SF Fire Credit Union accounts or funds that have been in another SF Fire account for 30 days or less. Incoming transfers are limited to external sources. There are no restrictions on the amount or timing of external transfers into the Money Market Account.
