The general assignment position will write news stories on a diverse variety of subjects as assigned by the editorial team.

The Sheridan Press publishes six days a week in print and online platforms, with a bountiful social media, online and community presence. Reporters are supported through mentoring, flexible hours and a mix of pitching stories and workshopping ideas with leadership and the editorial team.

Reporters work in an office located in the center of Sheridan, with ample access to everything the county has to offer, including outdoor adventures, a hopping live music and craft brew scene, cozy coffee shops and constant activities from which to fill a weekend to-do list.
